“My sound is me. It sounds the way it does and feels the way it does because this is not fake; this is real life”

The wrong tool for the wrong shed. For a long time, this is the label given to international DJ and producer MCR-T. People didn’t get him or understand his identity. Not fitting in can be lonely, right?

Finding the “other rejects” at the skatepark brought music into the equation. First rapping and then producing, the individualism that made him an outcast eventually led to likeminded ravers.

Now, MCR-T is never short of community. In Berlin, he’s joined forces with the Live From Earth collective and found a posse of creative minds in the process.

Even when he’s away from home, familiar faces or future friends are always there. Whether touring the globe, sending dancers into a frenzy, hanging out in the studio, or hosting pop up block parties, MCR-T's surrounded by people on his wavelength. These moves are what bring people together in the real world.

This is the message he wants to spread. Beating loneliness isn’t the result of winning popularity contests or appealing to the masses. Creative expression and being true to yourself are what really matter.

You’ll find your people as long as you stay doing you.
